Heritage Maker’s website needed an overhaul to be brought current, and Snap2Finish also had some limitations. The original intent was to develop one custom website and project editor to replace the two separate sites, and be backwards-compatible to HM, so that photos and projects would transition to the new site. We put enormous work and resources into making that happen, but in the end it just wasn’t possible. HM was built on Flash, a platform that is no longer supported. Trying to build a new site that was compatible with old technology simply wouldn’t function the way we wanted and needed it to. We were going to have to forgo much of the functionality desired in a digital photo product platform. Instead, we now have a robust editor with some similar functionality, and lots of new bells and whistles that we think you’re going to love.
